Established products have mature mobile apps and asset libraries, and building from scratch would waste money re-solving problems the market has already solved.

Bespoke development earns its keep when your asset structure is unusual, when spares data needs to sync tightly with an ERP that is itself bespoke, or when per-asset or per-user licensing on an off-the-shelf product has grown expensive enough that a fixed-cost build pays back over a few years.
